5-Steps to Organize SEF Booths:
1. Look at local event listings (such as
www.sulekha.com) for upcoming events. Call or e-mail the
organizers and request a booth and mention that SEF is a
501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to eradicating
curable blindness and all we need for the booth are a table and
a couple of chairs.
2. Make sure at least 2 volunteers go to the booth and be there
1 hour before the program begins.
3. Carry a simple set of booth material with you: Display board
& easel, Sign-up sheets, Donation forms and pens, SEF Brochures,
Latest Newsletters and the DVDs. If you do not have these,
please call 1-866-SANKARA or e-mail SEF at info@giftofvision.org
and the materials will be shipped to you.
4. When you are at the booth, introduce yourselves to the
organizers and know them for future events.
5. Once the booth is done, please mail or fax the sign-up sheets
and donation forms to SEF office – you can find the address at
www.giftofvision.org.
Note: Keeping booths is a very effective way for SEF to get
tremendous publicity and for the cause to be widely known.
Moreover, volunteering at booths is a fun and rewarding
experience for all volunteers.
