Rajammal's
Story
Mrs. Rajammal and her husband suffer from chronic lung disease. Her
two sons left the village for greener pastures. She and her husband
have to make their living only by her daily work in the farms. As
hard working farm laborers, she and her husband lived through the
years.
It was Senile Cataract, the aging eye disease of millions in our
country, which had put an end to her ability to earn her meager
income. As the family was struggling, the out reach camp of Sankara
gave her a golden opportunity.

With the total visual recovery after a highly successful surgery with
an iol implant, she was able to go back to work. Life once again became
brighter for this aging couple.
