SEF, USA is a 501 (c)(3) registered non-profit organization and all donations are tax exempt in the USA.
We initiate and drive community eye care
activities in India by working with eye care organisations such as
Sankara Eye Society, which runs the Sankara Eye Hospital in Coimbatore.
The majority of our fundraising effort is achieved through fundraising
events, booths in major events, advertising and working with major
donors.
Through these fundraising efforts, SEF, USA has played a significant role in increasing the number of free surgeries eight fold to its current projected annual rate of about 70,000.
OUR MISSION:
SEF's mission is to realize the goal of 20/20 for the people of India by year 2020.
Achievements:
• SEF has increased the number of surgeries performed at SES from about 8,000 to about 70,000 annually.
• SES has one of the largest rural outreach programs in India.
• SES is one of 2 NGOs chosen by the Government of India to plan and implement eye care services for the next 20 years.
• Eye-bank recognized as a model eye-bank by the Govt. of India.

History of SEF:
Founded in 1998 by Mr. K Muralidharan, Mr. K Sridharan and Mr. Khushnood Ahmad, SEF USA is run almost entirely by a group of over fifty energetic volunteers.
