The Rakesh Jhunjhunwala Sankara Eye Hospital in Patna, Bihar, is a brand-new eye hospital supported by the Sankara Eye Foundation, USA, and the Rakesh Jhunjhunwala Foundation. It is slated to be a state-of-the-art 225-bed super specialty eye hospital with an annual free eye surgery capacity of 30,000. The foundation stone for the project was recently laid on July 14, 2025, by the Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar. The project is expected to be completed by December 2026.
