Born and raised in India, Dr. Palanati moved to the United States with her husband 30 years ago and has built a career centered on compassionate, whole-person care.

Prakash Gupta is a career diplomat from the Indian Foreign Service who has served in various capacities in Beijing, Shanghai, the Indian Mission to the United Nations in New York, and in Jakarta.

Sadaf Waheed serves as Co-Chair for the Sankara Eye Foundation Gala, bringing over 15 years of dedicated volunteer service to the organization. Her long-standing commitment reflects a deep passion for expanding access to quality eye care and supporting Sankara’s mission to eliminate curable blindness.

Madhusri Movva has been a long-time donor and volunteer with the Sankara Eye Foundation, supporting its mission for over 15 years, and serves as Co-Chair for the annual fundraising gala.
