Dr. N. Muralikrishnan
Dr. N. Muralikrishnan (NMK) is a distinguished Veena and Keyboard virtuoso, educator, and Co-founder and Artistic Director of the Spring Nectar Foundation. Originally from Thanjavur, India, he has dedicated his career to preserving, performing, and promoting Carnatic music through concerts, mentorship, and global cultural outreach. Renowned for his expressive artistry, he has introduced South Indian classical music to international audiences and served as a visiting professor at several U.S. universities.
As a global ambassador for Carnatic traditions, NMK has performed at world-class venues including Carnegie Hall, the Walt Disney Concert Hall, and the Sydney Opera House. Beyond the stage, he expands the reach of Carnatic music through the NMK Ubiquitous Network, an online learning platform and YouTube channel that provides students worldwide with access to instructional lessons and performance content.
Ranjini Vijay
Ranjini Vijay is a versatile Bay Area-based vocalist who was chosen by A.R. Rahman in 2007 as one of America's Top Five Voices and performed with the maestro on his Atlanta tour that year. She began her Carnatic vocal training under the D.K. Jayaraman lineage and currently continues her advanced tutelage under Shri Palghat Ramprasad.
As a singer, she performs across genres – Carnatic, Jazz, Bollywood, and Fusion – and collaborates with bands to support various nonprofit organizations. Outside the world of music, she is a Strategy & Operations executive and mother of two lovely girls.
