Born in Uganda, Divyogi spent his formative years in India and UK. A graduate of Lancaster University in England, he moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1994 and established several small businesses. 

Divyogi is a devotee of Sri Sathya Sai Baba and is on the Board of Sai Global Mission, which supports activities related to health, education, and nutrition in India.
